The battle for the last 5 is as tricky as gunning for the ultimate
crown. Sooner or later, many favourites would have to see the exit door,
as painful as it is, it is an inevitability that cannot be avoided. It
is the name of the game: there will be losers and winners.
Now, we
have witnessed another dramatic week of surprises, intrigues and pure
bravado. The set-up we had last week isn’t what have shaped out this
week. There has been a number of changes:
Tonto Dikeh: After
having been shocked and stunned by Stephanie Okereke last week, the
controversial actress and singer is back on top, fighting tooth and nail
to claw her way back to the top.
Stephanie Okekere: She gain the first spot last week but overdone
again by Tonto’s bravado to reclaim her spot. She has only lost a few
steps and stands on good ground to fight all the way.
Ebube
Nwagbo: All attention is on Tonto and Stephanie, running the race neck
to neck and nobody is watching how dangerously close Ebube is getting to
the duo. She remains restive on 3rd but closer to the first two
stronger than ever.
Yvonne Nelson: Yvonne still has her hand on
the 4th spot but not without a challenge from Colette who is running
wild at 5th. Here, is another duo that may be worth watching.
Colette
Orji: Ever since Colette has been able to out-muscled Angela Okorie on
the 5th spot she seems to have develop some sort of belief and she is
pushing higher than ever.
Cynthia Agholor: I said Cynthia has
remained in the game only because she has learnt to play the game with
the ruthlessness it demands. This week, she was simply outstanding and
too hot to handle as she leapfrogged two spots to jump to six.
Queeneth
Hilbert: Just like Cynthia, Queeneth too has demonstrated some
ruthlessness to remain in the game. The duo were very much at each
other’s throats this week, bundling their way into the next positions.
Angela
Okoria: What could be said of Angela, a lacklustre outing in the last
couple of weeks have seen her lots plummeted. Her fighting spirit seems
to be all-time low.
Men
Yul Edochie: Even though Ramsey and
Benson are doing the best they could, the guy continues to make them
look like they aren’t trying hard enough, or are they?
Ramsey
Nouah: This top actor will need to do more than just sitting around,
hoping the game will cheer him on. With more outing like he has been
having the last couple of weeks, Benson might just be given the right of
way he has been honking for.
Benson Okonkwo: Benson continues to
push but the harder he pushes the more Uti seems to be enjoying the
sight of him. He is still doing fine at third and probably having a look
into second. With a couple of weeks to go, anything can happen.
Uti
Nwachukwu: Uti has been asking questions for sometime now and right now
he seems to be getting some answers. He took advantage of Pope’s
lacklustre week to upstage him and here he is on 4th and looking to do
more damage.
Pope Odowondo: Pope was having a bit of a wrestle
with Benson until Benson got other ideas, leaving Pope behind and now it
seems it’s not only Benson that will leave him, even Uti has his pound
of flesh. He is 5th now.
Odunlade
Adekola: It was a huge week for Odunlade Adekola who moved three places
to clinch the 6th place, taking off Van Vicker, Ali Nuhu and Frank
Artus. He has been blowing hot and cold too but this week was his
hottest to date.
Mike Ezuruonye: For Mike, it has become a never
ending story of eviction that never happened. He was the last man of the
last ten yet he survived.
Then he was the last ninth man expected to go
out last week and again he didn’t. Now he sits on 7th, stunning Frank,
and Ali Nuhu
Ali Nuhu: Ali too is a specimen capable of anything. We have seen much of that in this quest to rule him out just yet.
